![]() ![]() I corrected them and again told them the correct number of people and tents. They proceeded to tell us I booked two sites with two adults. About 2 days before we were to arrive we received a phone call confirming our booking. I paid and asked if there would be any additional fees upon check in. I had no choice but to pay the lock fee so we were somewhat close to our friends that were camping with us. They "corrected" (they actually got the date wrong a second time) the date on the second tent and informed us that we may not be situated next to each other like we wanted. I state this only because I was not the only one to hear what the front desk told us. Being able to contact them by phone proved to be difficult so my daughter put us on a three way with the front desk. About a week before, we received an email that listed the incorrect dates for our second tent on the site. We payed and I received a confirmation email. I wanted to pay in full and asked for a total for the entire stay. The gentleman that booked us stated we shouldn't need to pay for the lock fee as there were no other sites to move us to. We were told we were getting the last two premium tent sites (66). They were informed we would have 4 adults and two children on one site and 2 adults and two children on the second site. We called for two sites, one with two tents and the second with one tent. This is AFTER we were allowed to cancel without any penalty. Our nightmare with this campground began approximately 7 days before check in. We had a couple problems and they helped us immediately with our issue. The Ranger Station and one lady at the front office were the reason I gave this a star to begin with. Positives- Campground setting is gorgeous, lots of activities for campers, staff is kind and accomodating, restaurant is convienient and quick.… Golf-cart rental is expensive, more than the cost of our stay. Quiet hours start late and are not enforced at all. Our new site was at least among other tent campers who disrespectfully played loud music all night long. I was also shocked there were no fire rings for campire or grilling, all those people on top of each other and a decent wind would blow fire into someone’s tent. We ended up switching our site upon arrival because #1 it wasn’t big enough and oddly on a corner so no space for our tent and supplies and #2 as we pulled up I had to ask a group of people to kindly return our picnic table they were in the process of taking across the street #3 there was no shade as promised and no feel of camping and nature as we were to be sandwiched between nothing but rvs. The sites are very small, both tent and campers. Tons of cars and partying all night long. It is incredibly crowded, no enforcement of all that is allowed on a site. Unfortunately the campground has shifted to shoving as many people into a space then quality camping outdoors. I also have been satisfied with sunoutdoors management at other local campgrounds, so I assumed the best. I was so excited to stay at Cherrystone after only great memories of camping there in the past. Accessible and pet-friendly units are available.
